Thermavein® - What is it?

Thermavein® is a world renowned treatment for Thread Veins on the face and body (subject to size). ThermaVein® offers the instant, safe and permanent treatment for red veins often referred to as  thread veins or spider veins and medically referred to as “telangiectasia”. ThermaVein® delivers a fast and effective walk in walk out total solution for the treatment of red veins and vascular blemishes

Red veins are cosmetically unsightly and are too fine to be treated in the same way as larger veins. Our ThermaVein® thermo-coagulation device offers a complete solution, is a totally safe treatment, is clinically proven and is permanent.

Equipped with a polarisation light system the practitioner introduces a fine needle over the vein and in most cases it disappears instantaneously. There is no bandaging required.

Unlike IPL and Lasers, ThermaVein® cannot cause loss of pigmentation. It treats red spots, a variety of vascular blemishes and troublesome red veins.  When used in combination with Scelerotherapy, ThermaVein®  is perfect for treating legs.  ThermaVein® can be used equally well on men.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Depending on the area to be treated one treatment us usually sufficient. This will be fully discussed at your consultation so you will know exactly what to expect. For large areas and other conditions more treatments may be necessary and will be charged accordingly. If the treatment is not fully effective on a previously treated area on the first treatment a follow up treatment will be given without charge.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE & AFTER TREATMENTS?

Nothing! It is a very forgiving treatment. It would be helpful if you could attend without make- up. Aftercare is very simply. Leave the area alone!

 

DOES IT HURT?

The sensation will vary from client to client. It is often described as being pinched with tweezers. The pain level is very tolerable and most people who are motivated to have the condition will feel little if any pain.

 

HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT TAKE?

The treatment will be a maximum of 15 minutes. This is the maximum we can carry out a treatment. Small areas may only take a few seconds.

 

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?

The skin will usually be warm and red. We will apply Aloe Vera Gel and give you some to take home with you. It is not uncommon to be pinprick bleeding and over a couple of days small scabbing (cat scratch) marks may develop.
